Veterans Day Remembrance Program Set for Nov. 10 on Kaufman Mall
Old Dominion President John R. Broderick invites members of the campus community, along with military service members and veterans, to the university's Veterans Day Remembrance Thursday, Nov. 10, on Kaufman Mall.
The program begins at 12:30 p.m.; the rain site is the North Mall of Webb Center.
Bismarck Myrick, ODU ambassador-in-residence and lecturer of history and political science, will be the guest speaker and faculty veteran honoree. A career member of the Senior Foreign Service of the United States, Myrick served as ambassador to the Republic of Liberia from 1999 to 2002, ambassador to the Kingdom of Lesotho from 1995-98 and principal officer in both Cape Town and Durban, South Africa, from 1990-95.
The Faithful Men, under the direction of Nancy Klein, associate professor of music, will provide music for the Veterans Day Remembrance.
