PURDUE UNIVERSITY PROFESSOR TO LECTURE ON 'MEMORY MYTHS' OCT. 19
Jim Nairne of Purdue University will present "Teaching Myths About Memory," a colloquium sponsored by the Department of Psychology at Old Dominion University, from 3-4:15 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, in room 102 of the Mills Godwin Jr. Life Sciences Building.
The talk will focus on: stressing the adaptive or functional value of topics taught in class; and memory as essentially reconstructive to help predict the future or solve problems.
