"Einstein and Beyond-The Magic Show" will be presented by scientist and magician Bob Friedhoffer at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 25 in Oceanography and Physics Building Room 200, and at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26 in Mills Godwin Building Room 102.

Friedhoffer, who lives in New York, brings science education to the public using innovative forms of exposition that astound, mystify and entertain. His magic show will focus upon Newtonian mechanics, relativity and the quantum world.

Local high school students and the public have been invited to join members of the ODU community at the shows. The events are being held in celebration of the World Year of Physics, which was declared by the United Nations to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Albert Einstein's breakthrough work in physics.
Friedhoffer also will perform his show on Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. in the Jefferson Lab CEBAF Center auditorium in Newport News.
