LUCINDA AND MILLER WILLIAMS CLOSE OUT LITERARY FESTIVAL TONIGHT

Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter Lucinda Williams and her father, poet Miller Williams, will close out the 28th annual Old Dominion University Literary Festival with a performance at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7 at the Granby Theater.

Tickets are still available and cost $7 for students, $10 for faculty and staff, and $15 for the general public. They can be purchased at the door or by calling 683-5305. Proceeds benefit the ODU Writers-in-Community program.

Poet Tom Ellis will read from his work at 2 p.m. Friday in the Newport News Room of Webb University Center. The talk is free and open to the public.

The festival is funded in part by the Virginia Commission on the Arts and the Norfolk Commission on the Arts and Humanities. More information is available online at www.odu.edu/litfest or by calling 683-4770.
