WEDNESDAY'S ECONOMICS CLUB LUNCHEON POSTPONED
The Old Dominion University Economics Club of Hampton Roads luncheon scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 28, has been postponed due to a scheduling conflict.
Rear Adm. Larry Hereth, commander, Fifth Coast Guard District, U.S. Coast Guard, was scheduled to be the guest speaker. The admiral was sent to Texas to support relief efforts in advance of Hurricane Rita. The luncheon will be rescheduled in May.
Co-sponsored by Old Dominion's College of Business and Public Administration, the monthly luncheons begin at noon and cost $30 for nonmembers. Luncheons are held at the Norfolk Marriott Waterside Hotel in downtown Norfolk. Due to limited space, reservations are required for all luncheons and can be made by calling 683-4058.

Oct. 12 - Glen Ayres, president of the Family Firm Institute.
Nov. 16 - Laurence Kotlikoff, economics professor at Boston University and research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research.
Dec. 8 - David Goode, chairman and chief executive officer of Norfolk Southern Corp.
Jan. 18 - Annual Economic Outlook Conference: Mark Zandi, nationally known economist with Regional Financial Association and founder of Economy.com, will present the national forecast. ODU's forecast team of Vinod Agarwal, Mohammad Najand and Gil Yochum will present their regional forecast. Program starts at 10:45 a.m.
Feb. 8 - Gary M. Pfeiffer, senior vice president and chief financial officer of DuPont.
March 22 - Jeffrey Bader, director of the China Initiative and senior fellow at The Brookings Institute.
April 26 - William Starbuck, ITT Professor of Creative Management at New York University's Stern School of Business.
