INDIA FEST 2002 IS SATURDAY AT OLD DOMINION

India Fest 2002, an annual celebration of culture, food, art and handicrafts from India, will be held from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, in the north and south cafeterias in Old Dominion University's Webb University Center.

The event is being organized by the group Asian Indians of Hampton Roads.

This year's event celebrates "Bollywood" (Indian cinema). The program will include traditional and contemporary Indian dance demonstrations, a fashion show, music and dance by the Indian Students Association, a sitar recital and award presentations for a poster contest. Booths featuring henna painting, books, music, handicrafts, costumes, jewelry, art and food from India will be showcased.
