AWARD-WINNING FILMMAKER TO DISCUSS AIDS
Jennifer Jako, AIDS activist and filmmaker, will discuss her film "Blood Lines" from 7-9 p.m. today, Sept. 21, in the North Cafeteria of Webb University Center.
Jako contracted HIV through heterosexual contact with her boyfriend in her late teens. She created "Blood Lines," an award-winning short film that is "intelligent, poetic and hip," said Pamela A. Waitkus, health education coordinator at Old Dominion University. The film will be shown during her appearance.
