DENTAL HYGIENE STUDENTS TO TAKE PART IN FREE CLINIC SEPT. 16
Old Dominion University dental hygiene students will offer free dental screenings during a medical/dental clinic held 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16 at the Hindu Temple of Hampton Roads.
The clinic is free and open to the public. The Hindu Temple is located at 217 S. Dominion Blvd. in Chesapeake.
During the event, participants can get screenings for blood pressure, blood sugar, oral health, lung function and glaucoma. Additionally, specialists will be available to discuss heart, digestive and lung diseases, as well as high blood pressure, cholesterol and diabetes.
Representatives from the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin of Hampton Roads, American Cancer Society, Chesapeake Care Free Clinic and the Chesapeake General Lifestyle Center will be at the event to answers questions and conduct screenings.
