Drew Carey, a long-time staple of comedic television, broke into the scene in November 1991 by appearing on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. Three short years later, Carey won a Cable ACE Award for Best Writing for his Showtime stand-up comedy special "Drew Carey, Human Cartoon." Carey made his way to network television with the series The Drew Carey Show. The series earned Carey two People's Choice Awards for Favorite Male in a New Series and lasted for nine-years. Carey is also credited with bringing the British improve comedic show "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" to America in 1998. The American version has been nominated for numerous awards and continues to make people laugh. Carey also broke into the book scene with his highly successful debut book, Dirty Jokes and Beer: Stories of the Unrefined.

The Improv All-Stars feature the same hilarious concept as "Whose Line Is It Anyway?", where Drew Carey sets the scene while both the audience and comedians alike invent unrehearsed skits, scenes, games, and songs. Many of the familiar faces from both Whose Line Is It Anyway? and the WB's Drew Carey's Green Screen Show will be part of this outrageously funny comedy show.
