The Darden College of Education's Programs for Continued Learning Office is offering a "Basic Suba Diving" course Sept. 23 through Oct. 28. The six-week course will be held Fridays 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. in room 203 and the pool of the Health and Physical Education Building.

The course will cover the theory and practice of scuba diving. At the conclusion of the course, participants will take part in local open water dives. Upon completion, students will be certified by a nationally recognized agency. Participants aged 12-14 will receive a junior certificate.

The cost is $89. Participants must bring a swimsuit and equipment requirements will be discussed the first night of class.
