ENERGY TASK FORCE HEARING AT CONSTANT CENTER SATURDAY
Rep. Thelma Drake will host the Taskforce on Improving the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) for a public field hearing on the role of NEPA in the Mid-Atlantic states at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17 at Old Dominion University's Ted Constant Convocation Center.
The hearing will review NEPA's role in accessing affordable, domestic energy, building roads and homes, and managing the nation's natural resources. The hearing will be an opportunity for Hampton Roads business-owners and citizens to educate national leaders on the effects of high energy costs, as well as provide comments on how the NEPA process can be improved to ensure critical infrastructure is built while protecting the environment.
For further information please contact Carrie Melvin in Rep. Drake's Washington, D.C., office at (202) 225-4215.
