FREE FILM SERIES HELD AT DIEHN CENTER
"Through Children's Eyes III: Children in a Troubled World," the annual film series sponsored by In Support of Children advocacy group at Old Dominion University, continues during October.
Featured films are:
Oct. 5 - "Los Olvidados," or "The Young and the Damned," the 1950 story of youths in Mexican slums;
Oct. 20 - "The 400 Blows," the 1959 Francois Truffaut film about violent children;
Nov. 9 - "Peter Pan," the 1953 animated Disney classic.
All films are shown at 7 p.m. in Room 107 of the Diehn Fine and Performing Arts Center, 49th Street and Elkhorn Avenue. In Support of Children is a child abuse awareness group sponsored by sociology professors Lucien Lombardo and Karen Polonko.
