BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN TO PERFORM AT CONVOCATION CENTER
After a 20 year absence from Hampton Roads, Bruce Springsteen will perform an acoustic show at Old Dominion University's Ted Constant Convocation Center Friday, Nov. 11.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 10 and will be available through Ted Tix -- the exclusive source for Constant Center tickets -- at the Constant Center Box Office, online at http://www.constantcenter.com, and by phone at 888-411-4TED. Floor seats will not be available at the Constant Center Box office. Tickets cost $76.50 and $56.50 with a 6-ticket limit.
The "Devils and Dust Tour" features a more intimate setting with arenas being converted into theater format and Springsteen playing many rarities from his large collection of songs. His long time manager Jon Landau claimed, "Bruce just keeps stretching the boundaries of his performance night after night, and the result has been some of the very best concerts of his entire career."
Springsteen entered the scene with his first hit album "Born to Run" in 1975 and in 1984 released his most famous album "Born in the U.S.A." In 1993 he won four Grammy Awards and an Oscar for the song "Street's of Philadelphia" from the award-winning film "Philadelphia." Springsteen is also a member of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
