Katherine Kersey, recipient of the SCHEV 2005 Outstanding Faculty Award and chair of the Department of Early Childhood, Speech Language Pathology and Special Education at Old Dominion University, will be a guest on the radio program "With Good Reason" on Thursday, Sept. 22.

A showcase for the research and expertise of faculty at Virginia's higher education institutions, "With Good Reason" can he heard in Hampton Roads on WHRV-FM (89.5) at 11:30 a.m. It can be heard live on the Web at http://www.whro.org/radio/.

The episode, "90210 and Other Teen Soap Operas," discusses the impact of these popular shows and the real contemporary teen issues that they address. Kersey will offer 101 ways for parents to discipline their children using the positive techniques she demonstrates in her award-winning video "101s: A Guide to Positive Discipline."
