SELF DEFENSE SEMINAR FOR FACULTY/STAFF IS SEPT. 30, OCT. 1
The Old Dominion Univeristy martial arts program will sponsor a self-defense awareness seminar for university faculty and staff from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30, and Tuesday, Oct. 1. The first meeting will be in the South Balcony of the Field House Gymnasium; the second meeting will be in room 207 for clinical training.
The event is co-sponsored by the Department of Exercise Science, Sport, Physical Education and Recreation, the Continuing Studies Program and the Darden College of Education.
Instructors include Hiroyuki Tesshin Hamada, martial artist-in-residence and a ninth-degree black belt. Participants should wear loose-fitting clothing. More information is available by calling 683-4624.
