"SPIRIT FRIDAYS" KICK OFF TODAY

Today, and every Friday through the school year, has been proclaimed "Blue and Silver Friday," by President Roseann Runte in a proclamation released to campus yesterday.

The Old Dominion campus community should wear school colors on Fridays to celebrate school spirit and Monarch Pride.

Today, Big Blue will roam the campus looking for school spirit and will give random prizes to people wearing Old Dominion University gear. Additional items will be distributed on Kaufman Mall near the entrance to Webb Center.

The pep rally planned for today has been postponed and will be rescheduled for a later date.

Today's event coincides with College Colors Day, a nationwide event at the beginning of the intercollegiate athletics season that celebrates the traditions and spirit that make the college experience great.
