DEADLINE FOR WOMEN'S LEADERSHIP INST. IS SEPT. 14
The application deadline for the Women's Institute for Leadership Development (W.I.L.D.) is Wednesday, Sept. 14. The Institute begins Monday, Sept. 26.
A semester-long program sponsored by the Women's Center, W.I.L.D. focuses on developing the leadership skills of women students. Only available to ODU students currently enrolled for credit, it is designed to explore women's styles of leadership and to create an environment that values and nurtures women leaders by incorporating theory and practice.
The Institute features seven modules, including the call to leadership, team building, leadership styles, diversity, communication and conflict management, career development and reflection/synthesis. The program is available fall and spring semesters and always scheduled for 2 to 4 p.m. Mondays.
