BANNED BOOKS TO BE TOPIC OF LIBRARY DISCUSSION TONIGHT

Old Dominion University's Perry Library will present "Perspectives on Banned Books: A Panel Discussion" in honor of the American Library Association's "Banned Books Week" on Thursday, Sept. 29.

The discussion, which is free and open to the public, will be held at 7 p.m. in Room 101 of the Mills Godwin Jr. Building on the Old Dominion campus. Free parking is available in the parking garage on 43rd Street, between Hampton Boulevard and Elkhorn Avenue.

Moderated by Tim Seibles, associate professor of creative writing, the panel will include Cathy Lewis, host of "HearSay" on WHRV-FM; Tom Robotham, editor-in-chief of Port Folio Weekly; and Lisa Murray, director of corporate and foundation relations at ODU and long-time book reviewer on WHRV-FM.
