The Old Dominion University Latin American Studies program will present its third annual film series, "Celebration and the City," showcasing visions of contemporary Latin American city life. The series will use films and documentaries to explore the making of urban life, cultural traditions and colonial urban planning.

Screenings are free and open to the public and will be held in the Batten Arts and Letters Building, room 104 at 7:15 p.m. on the dates listed in the calendar below.

Dec. 5 "Entre Marx y una mujer desnuda" (Spanish with English subtitles) A group of radical intellectuals and indigenous peasants in late 1960s Equador discover how little they understand their time, nation and themselves.
