BOOK AND MAGAZINE DONATIONS ACCEPTED IN PRESIDENT'S OFFICE

The president's office is collecting children's books and magazines from members of the campus community, a project started in 2002 to benefit children at a local school.

The books and magazines are passed on to Sherrill Hurwitz, guidance counselor at Tanners Creek Elementary School in Norfolk, who in turn hands them out to students who are not able to get this type of reading material at home.

According to Hurwitz, the reading materials are a big hit with the children and their parents, and more and more children are asking for them. Donated books and magazines may be sent via campus mail to the president's office or dropped off at Koch Hall.
