HAMPTON BOULEVARD RESURFACING SCHEDULED TO BEGIN AUG. 19
Beginning Sunday, Aug. 19, crews from the Norfolk Department of Public Works will begin resurfacing Hampton Boulevard from 38th Street to the Hampton Boulevard Bridge.
The work will take place from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday through Friday only. It is expected to take three to five weeks to complete and will cause some traffic delays and/or alternating lane closures. Off duty police officers will be on hand to assist with traffic control and temporary crosswalks will be painted on milled surfaces to help pedestrians crossing Hampton Boulevard.
