INDIA FEST IS AUG. 21 IN WEBB CENTER

Asian Indians of Hampton Roads will present India Fest from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 21, at Old Dominion University's Webb University Center.

Entertainment will include Indian classical dance, folk dances and music, followed by a fashion show. There will be cuisine from northern and southern Indian states, fabrics, jewelry, books, CDs and DVDs for sale, and a henna tattoo booth. Children can participate in a poster contest, early registration is recommended.

Local and state representatives and elected officials will meet and greet the public beginning at 1 p.m. Admission is free. For information, call 484-8770.
