ADJUNCT FACULTY ORIENTATION AUG. 17 AT ODU
An orientation session for new and returning adjunct faculty at Old Dominion University will be from 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17, in the Hampton/Newport News Room of Webb University Center.
The purpose of the orientation is to publicly recognize the important role of adjuncts at ODU; help them feel like a part of the university community; and respond to their need(s) for information and services that most faculty get as a matter of course.
Food will be served and adjuncts can meet their colleagues, obtain ID cards and parking decals, meet with representatives of more than 15 university offices, including the library, public safety, Classroom Central, the Center for Learning Technologies, the Registrar's Office, and others.
In addition, adjuncts will receive a a reference handbook containing information about policies, teaching and computing resources, instructions for obtaining class rosters and loading grades, e-mail accounts and contact information for all the colleges, and more.
