POLICE CARNIVAL IS SATURDAY

The third annual Old Dominion University Police Department/Lambert's Point Community Softball Tournament and Carnival will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 14, at Powhatan Park.

Families, both from the surrounding community and the ODU faculty and staff, are invited to the free event. A moonwalk, dunking booth, music and prizes will be highlighted, as will the popular home run-hitting contest featuring ODU's public safety officers.

DJ Smooth from WWHV-FM (102.1) will be broadcasting live during the carnival. For more information, call Eddie Rodriquez at 683-4000.
