GARZON ON 'WITH GOOD REASON' TODAY
Laurel Garzon, a nursing professor at Old Dominion University, will be a guest on the radio program "With Good Reason" on Tuesday, Aug. 17.
The episode of "With Good Reason," a showcase for the research and expertise of faculty at Virginia's higher education institutions, can he heard in Hampton Roads on WHRV-FM (89.5) at 11:30 a.m.
The episode deals with ethnicity in health care and Garzon is heading up a teaching project to produce culturally competent nurse practitioners. It's estimated that one in four Americans is now classified as non-white and that percentage is expected to grow significantly in the next 50 years.
