HAMPTON ROADS' MODELING AND SIMULATION ACTIVITIES EXPLORED IN PRESENTATION AUG. 8
Roland Mielke, interim executive director of Old Dominion University's Virginia Modeling, Analysis and Simulation Center, will discuss modeling and simulation activities in Hampton Roads at a luncheon presentation Tuesday, Aug. 9.
Sponsored by the Hampton Roads Technology Council, the luncheon will be held 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Select, Norfolk Airport, on Military Highway. The cost is $20 for HRTC members and $30 for nonmembers. Registration is required at http://www.hrtc.org/events_registration.html.
During the presentation, Mielke will give an overview of VMASC, summarize the recent economic impact study on modeling and simulation activities in the region, and discuss the formation of an emergency management training and simulation center by several organizations and industry members.
