Chris Bolosan, 20, a sophomore at Old Dominion University and a Newport News native, bowled an average of 221.7 for the final eight games of match play recently in Indianapolis to make the Junior Team USA 2006.
Bolosan rallied from fourth place after the first eight games of match play to make the team for the first time following a 10th-place finish in 2004 at Dallas-Fort Worth.
Chris dedicated the victory to his father, who is of Philippine-Hawaiian descent (Chris was born in Hawaii).
The top six boys and girls players from the record field of 1,476 that began qualifying automatically made Junior Team USA.
