Old Dominion University's Ted Constant Convocation Center will host Virginia's first Black Expo Aug. 20.

The Expo will bring in a number of black business owners from across the nation to check out Hampton Roads and meet with local economic development officials. Key executives from about 50 companies have been invited to the expo and a reception the night before at Nauticus.

Anywhere from 7,000 to 10,000 people of all ethnic backgrounds are expected to attend the expo, which will be held from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Tickets are $10 for those age 13 and older. Younger children are admitted free with a paying adult. Actress Vivica A. Fox will be the featured guest speaker, and the Mississippi Mass Choir will perform.
