ODU STUDENTS HELP PROMOTE AUDITORIUM
Instructor Ateba Crocker's Old Dominion University Marketing 311 students will provide support this summer for Thomas Nelson Community College's Mary T. Christian Auditorium as part of a class project.
The auditorium, which hosts concerts and film screenings on the TNCC campus, is a 550-seat, two-story auditorium located in TNCC's Templin Hall. Christian is currently serving her ninth term in the Virginia General Assembly. She was the first African-American and first female elected to the state legislature from Hampton, post-Reconstruction.
Robert W. Elsass Jr., Thomas Nelson vice president for institutional advancement, said the auditorium was in need of marketing support because of a personnel shortage at the college. "The support your class could give us, and most importantly the fresh, outside look at what can be done, will be invaluable," he said in a letter to Crocker.
