GOV. KAINE TO SPEAK AT PUBLIC SAFETY SUPPLIER DIVERSITY FAIR TODAY
Old Dominion University will host a public safety supplier diversity fair, featuring Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine, from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 18 at the Ted Constant Convocation Center. The event is sponsored by the office of the secretary of public safety and Virginia public safety agencies.
The event will also feature John Marshall, secretary of public safety for Virginia; Viola Baskerville, secretary of administration for the Commonwealth; and Stacy Burns, director the department of minority business enterprise.
State agencies participating in the event include the following departments: alcoholic beverage control, correctional education, corrections, criminal justice services, emergency management, fire programs, forensic science, juvenile justice, military affairs, state police and veterans services. Additionally, the departments of minority business enterprise, business assistance, general services for purchasing and supplies and information technologies agency will attend.
