DISASTER PREPAREDNESS SESSION AT ODU JUNE 22
Are you prepared for the next hurricane and the flooding that comes with it? If not, join Mike Lauder of the American Red Cross as he discusses emergency preparedness and offers suggestions on what you can do to prepare yourself and your family for the next severe weather disaster.
The presentation will be from noon-1 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, in the Chesapeake Room of Webb University Center.
In their presentation, Lauder will cover emergency planning: building emergency kits, training for emergencies, volunteering in the community during emergencies, blood services during disasters, and seasonal safety tips.
This program is part of the American Red Cross of Southeastern Virginia "Together We Prepare" campaign, which is designed to help the entire South Hampton Roads community get ready to prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies including fires, hurricanes, and other disasters.
