PARTICIPANTS NEEDED FOR CULTURAL EXCHANGE
Looking for a little culture this summer?
Faculty, staff and students interested in increasing their knowledge of the world and making new friends this summer are encouraged to contact Lydia Gross at the English Language Center, firstname.lastname@example.org.
From July through early August, 41 students will be on campus from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Georgia, Uzbekistan, Lithuania, Belarus, Moldova, Tajikistan and Mongolia to participate in an introductory program on American culture and education, and members of the university community who are interested are asked to spend two hours a week for five weeks interacting with these campus visitors. Benefits include a small stipend.
At the end of the summer, the students will go to universities across the U.S. to do graduate-level work in law, journalism, public health, education, environmental management and public administration.
