V.B. FIRE DEPTARTMENT MONSTER TRUCK AT ODU JUNE 25

Come see the Virginia Beach Fire Department's Monster Fire Truck from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, June 25, in front of Webb University Center.

The truck is a 1944 Seagrave fire engine that was donated by master firefighter Don Moss to the Virginia Beach Fire Department to be used in the department's Life Safety Education programs. Moss' idea was to create the world's first monster fire truck and the truck was created with the help of the city government, school system, Virginia Natural Gas and other sponsors. The truck weighs 10 tons and sits on five-foot-high tires.

Bring your camera and have your photo taken beside the vehicle. More information on the Monster Fire Truck is available on the Web at: www.vbgov.com/dept/fire/monstertruck
