The Order of the Engineer Induction Ceremony will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 29, in Kaufman Hall.

The Frank Batten College of Engineering and Technology will host the ceremony, which is for engineers to "pledge to yourself, your colleagues and the public your acceptance of the Obligation of the Engineer, the affirmation that you will practice integrity and fair dealing, tolerance and respect, and uphold devotion to the standards and the dignity of your profession."

The following persons are invited to attend the induction ceremony: students enrolled in the civil, electrical or mechanical engineering undergraduate programs who are within two semesters of graduation; graduate students who possess an undergraduate degree from an ABET-accredited civil, electrical or mechanical engineering program; and professors who possess an engineering degree that satisfies either of the two requirements above.

Application forms must be received by Tuesday, June 22. Forms and additional information are available on the Web at www.eng.odu.edu/ooe or by calling Terry Legg at 559-5101 or Annemarie Delgado at 683-6446.
