TWO NEW BUSINESSES OPEN IN THE UNIVERSITY VILLAGE

The Old Dominion University Village continues to grow with the recent addition of Sabrina's Signature Salon and La Herradura Mexican Restaurant.

The full-service salon, owned by Sabrina Martin, offers hair design, makeup, skin care, massage and nail care services. Located at 4300 Monarch Way, it is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Friday; and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday. La Herradura Mexican Restaurant, located at 4220 Monarch Way, is owned by Wilfredo Andrade and Mauricio Andrade. It is open 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday; and 11 a.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday (with bar and dancing from midnight to 2 a.m.). For more information call 423-1605.

Other businesses located in the University Village are: Tropical Smoothie, Boar's Nest Bar and Bistro, Port City Java, Perfectly Frank and Zero's Subs. The new Old Dominion bookstore, a three-and-a-half-story, 42,000-square-foot facility to be built behind the Ted Constant Convocation Center on Monarch Way, is scheduled to open in September 2007.
