VMASC DISTINGUISHED LECTURE JUNE 7, 9
The Virginia Modeling, Analysis and Simulation Center (VMASC) Spring 2005 Distinguished Lecturer Series will continue at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, in the Operations Research and Analysis Lab at VMASC's Suffolk location.
Paul Fishwick will present on "Modeling and Simulation within a Broad Context." He will discuss some of the work that reflects the convergence of various tools including the construction of ontologies, integrative modeling, 3D programming, and the SimPack toolkit, which was recently used to teach computer simulation by focusing on student creativity in model representation and behavior. He also present a new methodology, Aesthetic Computing, which provides for a creative outlet used to teach students in simulation.
The presentation will be repeated at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 9 in Old Dominion University's Engineering and Computational Sciences Building VR Theatre.
