The Virginia Symphony Orchestra will perform its second outdoor concert on the campus of Old Dominion University at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 9. The concert features free admission and free parking and will be held on Kaufman Mall in front of Webb University Center.

The June 9 concert, entitled "A Little Night Music," will be conducted by guest Alexander Mickelthwate, assistant conductor for the Los Angeles Philharmonic, and offers a delightful assortment of symphonic music - perfect for a spring evening - from Beethoven's 5th Symphony to Mozart's "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik" to Handel's outdoor masterwork, "Music for the Royal Fireworks."

Those attending are reminded to bring lawn chairs, blankets and a picnic basket and enjoy the evening breeze and symphonic sounds. Free parking is available in Lot 20 off 45th Street.

Rain site is the Big Blue Room at the Ted Constant Convocation Center.
