READING/COMPUTER LITERACY
This two-part program is designed for students in grades 4-9. Participants must attend both programs. The camp runs from July 5-July 29, Monday-Friday, 9:30 AM - 2:00PM.
Reading - The reading program is designed to help students in reading comprehension and vocabulary building. The class is held from 9:00 AM - 11:15 AM, grades 7-9 and- 2:00 PM, grades 4-6.
Computer Literacy - In Computer Literacy, students learn by doing. Computer skills are taught in the University's computer laboratories. Classes are held Monday-Friday, 9:00 - 11:15 AM, grades 4-6 and Monday - Friday, 12:45 PM -2:00 PM, grades 7-9.
Lunch - Lunch is provided free of charge from 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM.
BOYS' AND GIRLS' BASKETBALL CAMP
Girls' Basketball Camp - Ten girls, age 10 through the start of 9th grade, will be selected for basketball camp. The camp will be held June 27-June 30, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM. This day camp features include: individual instruction, team competition and improvement drills. Coach Wendy Larry and her staff will conduct the camp.
Boys' Basketball Camp - Ten boys ages 10- through the start of 9th grade, will be selected for residential basketball camp. Camp begins July 28 with registration in Whitehurst Hall dormitory form 10:00 AM - noon. Camp will end at noon on July 31. Campers will be involved in team competition, individual instruction and will learn new basketball skills.
The Boys' Basketball Camp is staffed by Coach Blaine Taylor and his assistants.
FUNTASTIC SUMMER CAMP
Children ages 5-12 can make new friends and learn new skills while having fun in a safe, healthy place. They will participate in supervised games, contests, sports, arts and crafts, special events, theme days, field trips and swimming. This program is held at the Larchmont Recreation Center (757) 441-5411. Lunch is provided free of charge.
Summer camp dates are July 5- August 12, Monday - Friday.
In order to participate in this program, students must obtain a Facility Use Card from the Lakewood Athletic Office. (757) 441-5834.

Students may report to the Norfolk Room in Old Dominion's Webb Center when arriving before 9:00 AM.
These programs are limited to youth of Lambert's Point/Park Place and the dependents of ODU hourly and classified employees. Successful applicants for all programs will be notified prior to July 5th.
