OLD DOMINION BIDS FAREWELL TO FOUR ADMINISTRATORS
In addition to the 15 faculty members retiring this year, four familiar administrators have announced they are leaving the university.
Jean Major, university librarian, has announced her decision to retire Sept. 1. Carole Seyfrit, assistant vice president for research and graduate studies, is stepping down to assume the position of dean of the College of Graduate and Extended Education at Radford University, effective June 25.
Both have worked at Old Dominion since 1992.
Sydney Perry, an academic adviser in the Office of Counseling and Advising Services who joined the university in 1983, retired in April, and Nancy Olthoff, director of disability services, is moving to Iowa after 10 years at Old Dominion.
