C.A.S. HOLDS SILVER ANNIVERSARY MEETING
The Council for the Advancement of Standards in Higher Education (CAS) celebrated its 25th Anniversary at its regular Board of Directors meeting April 25-27 in Washington D.C.
Dennis E. Gregory, assistant professor of educational leadership and counseling at Old Dominion University, is a member of the board of directors and serves as chair of the research committee.
A consortium of 37 professional associations representing various interests in higher education, CAS promulgates standards and guidelines for educational programs and services in U. S. and Canadian higher education. The anniversary celebration featured visitors and speakers who had played significant roles in the history of the organization. Several awards were given by the organization to present and former members who had served many years on the Board of Directors.
