GOLFERS NAMED TO ALL-CAA SQUAD
Junior Michael Hospodar (Ontario, Canada) and sophomore Geoffrey Harris (Reading, England) were named second team All-Colonial Athletic Association.
Harris, the team Most Valuable Player, was the Monarchs top golfer in four of the seven spring events and five all together. He finished the 2000-01 season with a 74.7 stroke average, lowest on the squad. Harris was third at the CAA Championships last month and third at the VCU Fall Tournament.
Hospodar compiled a 75.2 stroke average for this season and was the Monarchs top golfer in five events this year. He placed fourth at the Furman Intercollegiate, and third at Wofford.
As a team, the Monarchs lost the CAA Championship by one stroke to Virginia Commonwealth, and placed tenth or better in five of the seven spring tournaments.
