REGISTRATION AVAILABLE FOR LAMBERT'S POINT SUMMER PROGRAMS
Old Dominion University's 2006 Lambert's Point Summer Program will again offer programs in computer literacy and reading, basketball and a funtastic summer camp. The summer program is only open to children of ODU classified and hourly staff and children who live in the Lambert's Point neighborhood of Norfolk.
"Computer/Reading Literacy" is a two-part program for students in grades 4-9. It runs from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 5 through Friday, July 28. Lunch is provided free of charge.
The Boys' and Girls' Basketball Camps are open to youths aged 10 -13. The girls' camp will be held from Monday, June 26 -- Thursday, June 29 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The boys' camp will be held Wednesday, July 26 --Saturday, July 29 and campers will stay overnight.
The "Funtastic Summer Camp" is open to children ages 5-12 and includes supervised games, sports, arts and crafts, special events, theme days, field trips and swimming. The program is held at the Larchmont Recreation Center and includes a free lunch. The camp will be held weekdays from Wednesday, July 5 -- Friday, August 11.
Interested staff members must fill out and submit an application no later than Friday, June 25. For application, please contact the office of Community Relations at 683-3159.
