Old Dominion University Libraries and the Virginia Arts Festival are sponsoring an exhibit highlighting John Duffy, a two-time Emmy-winner who has composed 300 works for symphony orchestra, opera, theater, television and film.

The exhibit, "John Duffy: A Living Inspiration," emphasizes the composer's life from his own earliest inspirations to his greatest achievements including his own comments on art in relation to politics and censorship. It will be displayed for the public in the Reading Room of the Diehn Composers Room through June 10. The exhibit will feature material highlighting Duffy's career from the 1940s to the present day, including Emmys and other wards, manuscripts, scores, photographs, sound recordings and videos.

A gateway to Duffy's official website will be available online through June 10 at http://www.lib.odu.edu/musiclib/exhibits/index.htm.
