An outpouring of support for Virginia Tech, much of which has been sent by university presidents, including ODU's Roseann Runte, can be found by following links from the home page.
The site also offers text and video coverage of Tuesday's convocation, a day after 33 members of the university's community died in a shooting spree on the campus. Included in this coverage is text of poet Nikki Giovanni's stirring convocation address.
Don Stansberry, director of student activities at ODU, said the office of community service in Webb Center has colored ribbons that can be worn for the Orange and Maroon Day observance.
Gov. Timothy M. Kaine declared Friday as a statewide day of mourning for victims of Monday's shootings at Virginia Tech.
Kaine said he will participate in an interfaith memorial prayer service in Monroe Park on the Virginia Commonwealth University campus in Richmond. The service will begin Friday at noon.
