ODU WILL HOLD PRAYER VIGIL FOR VIRGINIA TECH COMMUNITY TUESDAY NIGHT IN WEBB CENTER
Old Dominion University will hold a prayer vigil in support of the Virginia Tech community at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, in Webb University Center's North Mall.
President Roseann Runte will speak and the service also will include music, scripture reading and prayer, said Rob Sanford, the Baptist campus minister. He is chair of the University Chaplains Association, which is sponsoring the service.
Sanford said the chaplains wanted to give people associated with ODU, as well as the community at-large, the opportunity to express their grief about Monday's tragic shootings on the Virginia Tech campus in Blacksburg.
