The World Affairs Council of Greater Hampton Roads and Norfolk Southern will host the Azalea Festival's "Salute to NATO" dinner beginning at 6:15 p.m. Thursday, April 21, at the Norfolk Waterside Marriot.

Knut Vollebaek, Norwegian Ambassador to the United States and former Norwegian foreign minister, will lead a program beginning at 8 p.m. titled "World Challenge: Is There A Way Out?"

Vollebaek was the head of the Organization for Security and Cooperation, playing a key negotiating role during the war in Kosovo. He is the Norwegian delegate to the ILO and is a member of the board of Norway's UNESCO committee.

The evening will begin with a reception at 6:15 p.m., dinner at 7 p.m. and the discussion will begin at 8 p.m. The deadline to register for the event is noon Monday, April 18. Students may register by calling 226-1202.
