SUMMER INSTITUTE ON COLLEGE TEACHING IS SCHEDULED FOR JUNE 11-16
The Virginia Tidewater Consortium's Summer Institute on College Teaching is accepting applications through May 26 for its 22nd annual gathering at the College of William and Mary.
The institute is designed to help faculty of every rank and discipline to become more effective teachers. Topics will cover instructional innovation, testing and grading, small-group strategies, lecturing, cooperative learning, technology in the classroom, course and teacher evaluation, questioning skills, teaching and learning styles, student assessment, syllabus construction, and ways to make classes more interactive.
