Students at Old Dominion University won 15 of the 24 ribbons awarded in the poster competition of Research Expo 2007: 400 Years of Discovery, which was held April 5 at the Ted Constant Convocation Center. About 1,500 people attended the daylong event.

Students from ODU and the Expo's other sponsors, Norfolk State University, Eastern Virginia Medical School and the Virginia Tidewater Consortium for Higher Education, were eligible to compete. More than 200 student posters were entered in six categories, and winners came from all three Norfolk institutions, as well as Christopher Newport University in Newport News, which is a member of the higher education consortium.

The four blue ribbons won by ODU involved students of A.
