CANDIDATE FORUMS FOR V.P. FOR STUDENT AFFAIRS POSITION CONTINUE TODAY

The search committee for the Vice President for Student Affairs position at Old Dominion University has narrowed its field of applicants to four candidates. Those candidates have accepted an invitation to interview on campus.

All members of the University community are invited to attend public presentations by the candidates, where there will be an opportunity to ask questions upon completion of presentations.

The candidates and their forum schedules are:

Tuesday, April 10
11:30 a.m., Board of Visitors Room, Webb University Center
Terrence J. Hogan is currently the senior associate vice president and dean of students at Ohio University. He received a Ph.D. in higher education administration from Ohio University in 1992.

Monday, April 23
11:30 a.m., Board of Visitors Room, Webb University Center
Geneva M. Walker-Johnson is currently the acting vice president for student affairs at Old Dominion University. She received an Ed.D. in higher education management from the University of Pennsylvania in 2004.

Tuesday, April 24
2 p.m., Board of Visitors Room, Webb University Center
Kathleen E. Simons is former dean of students at National-Louis University in Chicago and the former vice president for student affairs and dean of students at Fitchburg State College in Massachusetts. She received a Ph.D. in educational administration from Illinois State University in 1990.

Thursday, April 26
11:30 a.m., Board of Visitors Room, Webb University Center
Melvin C. Terrell is currently the vice president for student affairs at Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago. He received a Ph.D. in higher education administration from Southern Illinois University in 1978.
