ODU BASEBALL TEAM RANKED 15TH AND 18TH IN NATIONAL POLLS

The Old Dominion University Baseball Monarchs, winners of 18 straight games, moved up to No. 15 in the "Baseball America" Top 25 and No. 18 in the "Collegiate Baseball News" Top 25 rankings. This is the highest ranking for the Monarchs since 1986.

Last week, ODU defeated Maryland and swept CAA rival James Madison University. The 18-game win streak ties the longest single-season Division I mark for ODU.

The Monarchs play the Norfolk Tides, the New York Mets AAA affiliate, on Tuesday, April 4, in the annual WexTrust Capital Baseball Scholarship Classic. The game begins at 7:15 p.m. at Harbor Park. Tickets are $5 for the general public and $3 for students, and can be purchased at the Harbor Park box office or by calling 671-8100.
